In these days of eroding standards, Nalla Malla Reddy Education Society has taken up technical education by establishing Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College, an institute that has been a pioneer in engineering education, research and innovation. Our college consists of ingenious minds and problem solvers who are eager to make the world a better place with their innovative techniques and inventions. With the best of infrastructure and facilities for an advanced learning, we seek to inspire the students to systematically understand, address and answer the ‘Why, What and How’ of modern day problems, which is also the motto of the college. The college aims to provide a ‘Complete Education’ to the students, moulding them into the best, versatile and honest engineers and scientists imparting a holistic education as it should be.
NMREC is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad. NMREC offers 5 B.Tech programs, 4 M.Tech programs. In addition to these, the college also offers an MBA program.
The B.Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering are accredited for the second time by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
The college is accredited by NAAC with an A grade.
Located amidst a green, peaceful and pollution-free atmosphere at about 17 km from the centre of Hyderabad city, the institute has achieved immense growth from a humble beginning to a reputed centre of academic excellence.
NMREC focuses on the all-round development of its students. The college encourages them to participate in research activities of various kinds, and also the sports, socio-cultural, co-curricular and extracurricular activities to ensure that they are fully-groomed graduates for comprehensive development which results in intellectual growth of individual students as future engineers to suit the growing needs and aspirations of the nation in future.
The labs are equipped with excellent infrastructure and equipment to enable the students to excel in their respective fields of engineering by practical experimentation studies to pursue their research ideas. The faculty of the college are well-experienced and trained. Research Centres have been established in all the departments. An Industry-Institute Coordination Cell has also been established for the students to foster an industry-institute interaction through industrial visits and internships.
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college advises and monitors the quality-driven initiatives. As part of quality improvement, senior professors in the subject review the faculty course plans and assessment plans to monitor the course alignment to the institute’s mission and vision.
Language development programs for improvement of communication skills, Professional Development Courses and Placement training sessions are regularly conducted for the students by the innovation-driven faculty of the college to impart technical skills in niche areas.
Students of the college have been placed all over the world in reputed organisations and some are even self-employed. During the semester breaks, students are encouraged to take up various internships and projects.
Two students of the institute got selected for a fully funded internship in UPCT, Spain, under student mobility program of the European Union Erasmus funding. Two faculty of the college visited UPCT in Spain as part of faculty mobility initiative.
NMREC students have won accolades in many inter-institutional competitions both in technical and non-technical domains. Some represented the affiliating University in national level sports events.
