Meppayur Salafi College of teacher education was established on 1995 as a professional teacher training college, dedicated to the Education of teachers. Since 1995 this college is imparting quality education to teacher trainees. College has a glorious past with rich academic tradition and excellence. The college is recognized by the Government of Kerala, affiliated to the University of Calicut and approved by the national council for Teacher Education. The course follows the general rules prescribed for the B Ed course by the University of Calicut with respect to academic standards for admission, course of study, scheme of examination, instructional hours, practice teaching requirements, attendance of students etc. with the rules and regulations of NCTE. It is functioning in the permanent building on a beautiful campus at Kuluppa over looking Kuttiady river, nearly 7 kms north east of payyoli. At present the college is providing graduate level course in Education (B Ed) with 6 optional subjects Viz, Arabic, English, Malayalam, Mathematics, Physical Science and Social Science. The college has excellent infrastructure and premium faculty.
