Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies is a degree-granting college in Mundur, Palakkad district, Kerala, India. It is a premier professional training college in Palakkad District and one of the best of its kind in South India. The Sanskrit word 'Kshetra' means a gathering place/holy place. 'Yuvakshetra' represents the gathering place and holy place of young people, shaping them through professionalism, discipline, and holistic development. YIMS is affiliated with the University of Calicut and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Palghat. YIMS was founded in 2005 with UG courses in the Hotel Management Department. However, the institute later expanded by starting other courses in the Arts and Science streams.
There are currently 14 UG courses and 4 PG courses available. YIMS began as a vocational training institute, but in a short time it has grown to become one of Kerala's premier higher education institutions. In an ever-expanding world of knowledge, professionalism necessitates continuous improvement in quality and competence, which the college provides. The College broadens its horizons while maintaining exemplary standards in higher education such as discipline and academics.
