BMSCE is the country's first private engineering school. More than 40,000 engineers and leaders have graduated & it began with only three undergraduate courses and now provides thirteen undergraduate and sixteen postgraduate courses in both traditional and emergent fields. 14 of its departments have been designated as Research Centers, with PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees available in Science, Engineering, and Management. The College has successfully implemented outcome-based education. Among Karnataka's engineering colleges, the College has one of the largest student populations. Approximately 5000 students are now pursuing their higher education at BMSCE. In the BMSCE Research Centers, more than 350 research scholars are earning their PhD degrees.
