In the year 2015-2016, the Central Government established the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIIT Lucknow) as a Public Private Partnership (PPP). It presently provides all academic and non-academic advantages to its students in order to enable them excel in many domains of technology.
As industrial partners, the Institute is being established by the Government of India, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, and U. P. Electronics Corporation Ltd. IIIT Lucknow's mission is to be a one-of-a-kind, world-class "Apex Center of Excellence" in the field of information technology. IIIT aspires to draw strength from centuries of sound Indian traditions, and it aims to develop knowledge-based resources in regional languages.
