In Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, there is a college of applied arts and technology called Cambrian College. Cambrian University was founded in 1967 and is supported by the government of Ontario. It includes campuses in Sudbury, Espanola, and Little Current.

With school districts, training facilities, universities, and other organisations, Cambrian collaborates.

During the establishment of Ontario's college system in 1967, Cambrian College was established as a technical school. It was initially founded with campuses in Sudbury, North Bay, and Sault Ste. Marie; in 1972 and 1973, the campuses in North Bay and Sault respectively became the independent Canadore College and Sault College.

Cambrian was a bilingual institution that provided instruction in both English and French up until 1995. The French programmes were moved to Collège Boréal in that year.
