More than 14,000 students from all across the United States and 89 other countries are enrolled at New Mexico State University's (main campus), which occupies 900 acres. As the first Honors College in New Mexico, NMSU is a NASA Space-Grant College. With four campuses, an off-campus learning centre in Albuquerque, cooperative extension offices in each of the state's 33 counties, and 12 agriculture research and science centres, NMSU, a Hispanic-Serving Institution, provides educational services to a diverse population of students and community members throughout the state. Additionally, distant learning courses offer students the most freedom.
